Reza is currently an exchange student at Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf. His research focuses on interactive grammar, specifically directive forms and their prosody-pragmatics interface. He is supervised by Prof. Dr. Kevin Tang and Prof. Dr. Tania Kouteva. Reza is keenly interested in different fields of linguistics such as pragmatics, phonetics, phonology, and the interactional use of language.

In his previous studies, he has explored discourse markers and theticals within the contexts of Persian and English. Additionally, he has conducted studies in discourse analysis and cognitive linguistics. His contributions can be found in esteemed journals, including the Journal of Pragmatics, Corpus Pragmatics, Metaphor & Symbol, Language & Cognition, Pragmatics, and Discourse Studies.
